  1. Agnikul Cosmos 

Agnikul Cosmos was established in 2017 by Srinath Ravichandran, Moin SPM, Satyanaryan Chakravarthy, and Janardhana Raju. It is headquartered in the National Center for Combustion R&D, IIT Madras, Chennai India. 

The company develops its own small-lift launch vehicles, such as the Agnibaan. It will be capable of placing a 100 kg payload into a 700 km orbit. 

  1. Skyroot Aerospace 

Skyroot Aerospace was established in 2018 by Pawan Kumar Chandana and Naga Bharath Daka. It is headquartered in Hyderabad, India. 

The company aims to develop and launch its series of small lift launch vehicles crafted for the small satellite market.

Pixxel was established in 2019 by Awais Ahmed and Kshitij Khandelwal. It is headquartered in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. 

By the end of 2020s, the company aims to put a constellation of 30+ hyperspectral earth observation micro-satellites into a sun-synchronous orbit.

Bellatrix Aerospace was founded in 2015 by Rohan M Ganapathy and Yashas Karanam. It is headquartered in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. 

The company plans to launch its rocket, named Chetak, in 2023. 

  1. Dhruva Space Private Limited 

Dhruva Space was established in 2012 by Sanjay Srikanth Nekkanti. It is headquartered in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. 

It is engaged in developing small satellites in the commercial, governmental and academic markets. 

  1. Satellize 

Formerly known as Exseed Space, Satellize was established in 2018 by Mahesh Murthy and Asshar Farhan. 

It is the first private Indian company to have a satellite in space. In 2018, the company launched its first satellite into space through SpaceX. 

  1. BrahMos Aerospace 

BrahMos Aerospace is an Indo-Russian multinational aerospace defence corporation. It was founded in 1998 and has its headquarters in New Delhi, India.

It currently develops and manufactures BrahMos missiles that have a range of 300 km and travel at speeds of Mach 4.

SatSure was established in 2016 by Abhishek Raju, Pradeep Basu, and Rashmit Singh Sukhmani. It is headquartered in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.  

It is a decision intelligence company that operates at the intersection of space technology, sustainability, and artificial intelligence (AI).

Manastu Space was established in 2017 by Ashtesh Kumar and Tushar Jadhav. It is headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. 

It is a space safety and logistics company that uses technology to save the space industry from loss due to debris pollution in space. 

  1. BigDipper Exploration Technologies 

BigDipper Exploration Technologies was established in 2020 by Abhinesh Srivastava. It is headquartered in New Delhi, India. 

The company is developing robots that will have the necessary infrastructure to identify and mine critical resources on the Lunar surface.
