All wrapped up shoot-wise, Laal Singh Chaddha is the official remake of Forrest Gump, the blockbuster Hollywood movie starring Tom Hanks as the protagonist. Remember how we all loved Forrest and his simple ways? We wish to see the same in Bollywood and are almost sure that Aamir Khan, who’s playing the role of Forrest here, would match our expectations quite well. The story has been adapted according to the Indian audience while keeping the baseline the same. Kareena Kapoor Khan would play the female lead, and we hope to see the love blossoming beautifully on screen.

One of these days, I’ll start watching all the Imtiaz Ali movies with a huge box of tissues by my side. This director brings out a different side of actors in his movies. The story of Ved (Ranbir Kapoor) in this movie through the three stages of his life is narrated in a way no one except him can imagine. The female lead, played by our favourite Deepika Padukone, is almost like a mirror to the girls who keep on believing in their love stories. This displays romance in its rawness and, along with the score by Rahman, does not let us keep our tears inside our eyes. This is not like one of our usual romantic Hollywood movies, but it’s a great watch indeed.
5. Baar Baar Dekho
One of the best time travel movies that Bollywood has probably seen is Baar Baar Dekho, the debut film of director Nitya Mehra. Having two of the most gorgeous actors in the lead, the movie was an instant hit by word of mouth only. This was also different because of the fact that science fiction is not a usual subject to be explored within Bollywood movies. The romantic Bollywood movie revolves around the two childhood sweethearts who get bound up in life. Time travel adds a different angle to what is an extremely common plot in romantic Bollywood movies. After a long time, Shahid Kapoor brought a feast to the eyes of his fans in the form of Kabir Singh. It is a Hindi remake of the Telugu blockbuster movie, Arjun Reddy. The subtle love story about a college senior and a junior is one we have come across many times, but this one is sure to captivate your hearts more than those other ones. One of the most underrated romantic Bollywood movies having Vicky Kaushal and Angira Dhar in the lead. The story is quite quirky and revolves around the lives of the two leads, who are entwined in the problems mostly. When a joint housing scheme gives birth to their love story, the duo tries to keep it alive despite all the obstacles and weaves a nice rom-com for a Sunday afternoon. Not to mention the acting is impeccable on both sides.
10. Manmarziyan
Another of Vicky Kaushal’s wonders but this time with Tapsee Pannu and Abhishek Bachchan in it. A perfect love triangle of a story, this romantic Bollywood movie revolves around the lives of Vicky, Rumi, and Robbie. The film was internationally released under the name “Husband Material.” The plot is centred around Rumi finding a proper partner and the two male leads acting as the candidates. There’s love, rebellion, heartbreak, life, everything in this great romantic movie. Do not miss out on this great experience.
